Volunteer Duties
Welcome to the Volunteer Duties page for the Alberta Winter Games - 55+ Hockey tournament. As a key part of the success of our event, volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring everything runs smoothly. Below are the specific duties and responsibilities that volunteers are expected to fulfill during the tournament.

Check-in and Registration
Volunteers will assist with the check-in and registration process for teams and players. This includes verifying documentation, distributing information packets, and ensuring all participants are properly registered for their games.

Documentation Review
One of the key duties for volunteers is to review documentation to ensure it is completed properly. This may include checking player rosters, waiver forms, and other important paperwork to ensure compliance with tournament rules and regulations.

Game Schedule Updates
Volunteers will help keep participants informed about any changes to the game schedule, including updates on game times, locations, and any other relevant information.

Volunteer Coordination
Volunteers will work closely with the event organizers to coordinate volunteer schedules, assign tasks (ie: time keepers), and ensure that all volunteers are aware of their responsibilities during the event. Effective communication and teamwork are key in this role.
